My name is Louie and thank you for visiting my site. Shortly after receiving my degree in Finance from a private school, I moved to New York to work for a multinational bank. $25,000 in debt, living in a room that was less than 200 square feet between 40th and 2nd Avenue, I felt demeaned by the situation. Growing up, I was raised to be frugal and through some of the lessons my immigrant family taught me, I made my last loan payment 9 months later. Though I’ve always been a financially savvy person, throughout those 9 months, I found that I was only scratching the surface of personal finance. After paying off my loan, I knew there was so much to learn about personal finance so I created this blog to document everything I’ve practiced and learned over the years and everything I continue to learn. I hope that as I share my journey of personal finance and just straight up life, it would help others achieve their goals.
